Livestock

Our main focus at the ranch is on rare & heritage breed livestock found in Australia. Most of our hoofed breeds are of British decent and our poultry tend to be more Mediterranean based such as the vulnerable Sicilian Buttercup which is close to our hearts of family heritage whom migrated from Italy to Australia back in the 1950’s. We are currently registered & active members of the AUSTRALIAN GALLOWAY ASSOCIATION (AGA) running a fullblood Belted Galloway cattle mob, AUSTRALIAN STUD SHEEP BREEDERS ASSOCIATION (ASSBA) with a small flock of the rare Cheviot sheep which originate hand in hand with their cattle mates back to the lake and hill district of bonnie Scotland & also members of RARE BREED TRUST OF AUSTRALIA (RBTA) involving ourselves with much important rare breeds poultry census including our other poultry breeds such as Chinese geese, heritage bourbon red Turkey & Silver Appleyard ducks. We offer a limited supply of fertile eggs via local collection and postage within Australia safely packed in EGGSAFE FOAM BOXES(quality/ hatching rate not guaranteed). We also run a small flock of retired Isa browns sourced from local free range farms & offer the hens a place to live out their days on fresh grass & southern highland air in return offering us some free range eggs we do have available from time to time for our customers to purchase. The major focus currently is of our Belted Galloway mob with genetics sourced from interstate & abroad stud breeders. We’re breeding towards larger structured cattle that are able to carry plenty of that beautiful beltie beef they are known so well for in the UK & Europe. The genetics we have chosen for our main breeding herd are quiet natured & longer coated animals, which is what we consider ideal for producing quality and sustaining that soundness in our local environmental cool weather farming conditions.  Semen straws available for inquiry stored at PREMIER GENETICS in Nowra with eventual  embryo  offering opportunities done at local facilities.
